In light of recent events

What we have seen in the past week--the brutal executions of children and the extraordinary power of forgiveness and compassion--have reminded me of the stark contrast between love and evil.

May we all find the courage to forgive as purely as those in Lancaster, Pa., who lay down an example for all those who claim Christ--Protestants, Catholics, and Orthodox.
